Connect Housing Association, a community benefit society providing over 3,000 homes across West Yorkshire, has selected a fully integrated asset management and housing solution from PIMSS Data Systems (PIMSS) and Castleton Technology plc (Castleton).
The first client win under the new PIMSS-Castleton strategic partnership, the decision was made following a competitive tender process. The agreement with Connect Housing Association will run over a five-year period and will see PIMSS deliver its flagship Asset Management System as part of a suite of fully integrated solutions.
The complete overhaul of Connect Housing Association’s IT systems will support the transformation of the organisation’s service and business enhancement processes, covered by a series of promises made to its tenants branded ‘Connect Commitments’. Following an in-depth competitive tender process that was facilitated by Alysium Consulting, PIMSS and Castleton will work in partnership with Connect Housing to deliver their integrated solution.
In addition to the core Asset Management System, Connect Housing has also signed-up to a number of modules from PIMSS including Planning, Contracts, Asbestos, Energy, Compliance and Tasks. The implementation process is now well underway with all solutions due to be live in 2020.
Commenting on PIMSS Asset Management in particular, Alan Davies, Information Services Manager at Connect Housing, says: “We really liked the flexibility of the system as a whole and that it is easy and intuitive to use. The functionality offered by the contracts module will be of real benefit to us and the comprehensive functionality of the asbestos module is a key requirement. The system will undoubtable play a major role in helping us to keep the promises that we have made to our tenants under our Connect Commitments.”
Martin McDonnell, managing director at PIMSS Data Systems, comments: “Our Asset Management System forms a vital part of an integrated platform that will interact with Connect’s tenants. The fact that we were successful in winning the business in the face of strong competition proves that in the PIMSS-Castleton relationship we have a winning formula. We are delighted to be playing an important role in Connect’s future strategy and look forward to supporting them in their transformation.”
Jimmy Rogers, Sales & Marketing Director at Castleton added “Our partnership with PIMSS will ensure that Connect Housing can effectively manage the full life-cycle of their property assets. With 21 years’ experience of the social housing sector, PIMSS will be a great partner to Castleton, and will ensure we continue to provide our customers with market leading solutions.”
PIMSS and Castleton announced their new partnership at the beginning of 2019. The PIMSS Asset Management application is now fully integrated with Castleton’s Housing Management system offering the social housing sector a fully unified solution.
